No WIFI or Mobile Internet Required for App and Camera Connection

Hello. I am new to GoPro but have just got a GoPro Hero 7 Silver and just wanted clarification that im right in saying i do not need any form of internet connection (wfi or cellular), in order to pair the gopro app to my camera. And with that in mind i should be able to use a tablet with not web connection at all and still be able to download the videos from my camer to my tablet.. Im going on a cruise (no internet in the middle of the sea!!) and so if i can do this that would be fab. Thank You.

Pairing the camera with a mobile device will utilize Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections.

You don't need an active internet connection to pair and use the camera.

Just make sure that both are on the latest version.
