Hello everybody, how are you all?
I've got a question;
Yesterday I bought a second-hand Gopro Hero 4 Black, everything was seales with plastic and stickers so it looked new. When I got home and opened the box and the gopro a lot of things are diffrent, diffrent sound, diffrent menu, diffrent colors etc etc. When I tried to plug it in the computer it said it was a Gopro hero 3+ Silver edition and i couldn't update the Gopro. When I tried to put the UPDATE folder in the Micro-SD nothing happened.
Can someone help me confirm if it is a real or fake gopro? On the box it had a Serial-Number but on the Gopro itself in the battery conpartment it has nothing only a: IC, FCC I and a REG.

@hardymesa52673 - Can you post some photos of the camera? We may be able to help you determine if it's a HERO4 Silver or a HERO3+. If the camera does not have a serial number on the camera itself, that's definitely a red flag.

The only way a can think of is to make sure that the file system used to name the gopro videos at the time of filming says something like GOPR23457.MP4 ?? .
However , if you bought it second hand the number could any number , if it was new it should start at GOPR0000.MP4 .
Its only and idea , I had an issue with a shop about that , but my camera was supposed to be new.
Any other ideas , anyone ???
