I am creating a video on my iPhone using the Quik app for iPhone (version 6816).
I am trying to add music from my phone's itunes music library however cannot seem to do so.
When i click on the music icon, and scroll all the way to the third last button "My Music" I then click on the Music Library blue button.
This pulls up a new list where I only see my podcasts. At the bottom there are two buttons, one for Featured (which carries all the GoPro music) and My Music which is showing the highlighted podcast list, mentioned above.
At the top in gray, there is a couple of buttons where I can click to browse and then add from various random locations including Drive, icloud Drive, On my iPhone, Dropbox - personal, and recently deleted. There's also something called Favorites and Tags below this.
No where can I see iTunes, or pull up songs from my itunes library.
Please advise if I can do this, and how I can do this?
Thanks in advance.

Please try the steps below:
Tap on Music Library> My Music> Tap on the plus icon> Browse> Locations (upper left)> Edit (upper right)
Toggle ON for On My iPhone> Done
It should then pull up your songs
Let me know if this works.

When I did that and checked my "On My iPhone" section, it was only showing a GoPro folder on my iPhone, in that folder are some irrelevant GoPro related files...I do not see my iTunes music library anywhere..
I don't think Quik can grab music off of iTunes to be honest. So whatever songs I have downloaded from Apple Music couldn't be used in Quik.
Instead I found another hack - I would locate the actual mp3 file of the song I want to use, and drag it onto the Folders section of my iPhone, then I can get it added to my Quik video using the same way you have explained above.

@swiftstar4761 Well good news if you've found a hack ;)
If you have Dropbox / iCloud Drive / Google Drive you could also put your songs there as mp3 file from example and get them from there, that's usually one way I add music to my QuikStories.
For iTunes, what I do is that I have a playslist of songs, I plugged my phone to my computer and synchronize my iPhone selecting that particular playlist.
Quik doesn't work with Apple Music, for legal / technical reasons you don't have copyrights for all those songs... would be too good to be true.
