@nimblepike1676, sorry to hear about the trouble. An update for the GoPro App (v6.1) has been recently released. Please ensure to have the latest version of the app and mobile OS installed. Then have your mobile device restarted before attempting to pair the camera with the app again. @nimblepike1676, other users have reported getting this issue resolved with the latest versions. Did you restart your phone before attempting to pair the devices again?
Is your Android device updated to Android 10? When going through the last step of the pairing process, the GoPro App will present a new window just before connecting to the camera’s WiFi. You have to wait until the GoPro camera appears on the "Device to use with GoPro" window before you press on Connect.
