Hero 8 Black won't live stream to Facebook groups?
[ New ]Hello!? GoPro's super premium do-it-all platform will not let you stream a video to a group unless you're the Admin?!? This is strike two for the HB8 as it is also not capable of working on the uber-popular Zoom platform. This is obviouly not a hardware problem, nor even a platform compatability hurdle. This is a purposeful restriction imposed by GoPro that diminishes the versatility of this device.
C'mon guys, flip a switch so your $$$ device is as usable as my $ phone.

Re: Hero 8 Black won't live stream to Facebook groups?
[ New ]
Other users have tried using their camera as a webcam however it involves the use of a capture card or an OBS.
We do not have an official way to do this but you may do your own research.
Live streaming to a Facebook page via the GoPro app is currently available on iOS.
Thanks!

Re: Hero 8 Black won't live stream to Facebook groups?
[ New ]Well this answer is wholly untrue. The Hero 8 Black can INDEED live stream to both YouTube and Facebook without requireing a card or OBS. It's right there in the GoPro app. The specific problem is that even with this capability, the user is unable to select any Groups we may belong to AND have permission to stream to UNLESS we are also an ADMIN for that group. This is a unique shortcoming of the Hero 8 Black that claims it can be used for streaming - period. It isn't until you actually try to use it and find you CANNOT, that it becomes painfully apparent. It's not just that GoPRo failed to include this capability, it's that nowhere in you promotional materil do you point out there are "exceptions" to this come on.
Judging by the number of other inquiries popping up about this shortcoming, I'd say you have a blossoming problem on your hands that the programmers ought to be addressing.
