just got my hero 7 black. I am quite happy with it but just recently I get problems that footage (videos at 2.7k60fps) take ages to download to my Ipad via the app and eventually fail. It always says its "converting", time stays relatively constant (55 minutes).
I found another post with a similar problem where the solution was to de-install and install the app, which worked exactly for two videos and then the same problem again.
Is there any solution to this? Its quite annoying?
Thanks for any advice

thanks for the reply.
The IOS version is 12.1
The SD card is the one that came with the Hero 7B, a Scan Disk Extreme 64gb
The Gopro App version is 5.1 (re-installed it a couple of times yesterday, so was pretty sure it is the latest one)
Some other (maybe relevant information):
I did the factory reset of the gopro-didn't help
I checked that I have at least double of storage space available than the video is, in fact i have 170gb available
The video I am currently attempting to download was shot with 2.7k60fps 4:3 format, its about 2:30 long and approx of 1.5gb size
It gives an estimation of 50minutes to transfer
The last video I successfully transferred was about 50sec, 400mb and took 15 minutes
Looking forward to any help!

May I know what is the version of your iPad?
Also try to use lower resolution.
It might be due to compatibility.
Try to use 1080 with 60 fps since most device is compatible with that.

the ipad is an ipad pro 10.x inch (2017)
Well it worked for the first 2 weeks i had the gopro (with the same settings), it also works for short clips.
I did basically every reset that is possible (including sd card), i also tried to transfer it via usb to my laptop, that works fine, so i am pretty sure it is not the sd card.
also tried it on my iphone 6s ios 12.0.1, same result

1080 and short 2k videos work.
I figured that the 4:3 makes the difference. After a little research it seems that in 2.7k and 4:3 the hero switches to hevc, which in theory should be supported by obviously is not. Found other threads with the same problem. Is there, will there be any solution to this? seems kind of a bummer, as i mostly use it for whitewater kayaking, 4:3 makes sense, to see the boat and the landscape
