Hero 5 black on Android v4.3 [ New ]

Just bought a new gopro - first time user. Tried to download the Gopro app on my phone and it is incompatiable because it needs Android V5 or higher. My phone (Galaxy S3) does not accept Android V5.....it is fully uptodate at V4.3.

Can someone tell me what official gopro app i should download to get it working?

This is not a good first impression i have from what is suppose to be a premium product...

Sorry for the inconvenience. 
You really have to get the latest Android Version in order to make the app work.

So your saying i have to buy a new phone so that i can get a simple software package to work on it? I would have thought Gopro would have made software compatible to phones more than a few years old, its not exactly a prehistoric phone.

Perhaps i will just return the gopro and buy something else....
