Gopro app for android & hero4 - no connection

I have a hero4. I installed the app for android on my new smartphone. To connect app asks me to provide a password. I cannot remember it. Once i used the app with another smartphone now broken and I could connect to the cam. I tried resetting wifi settings on the cam but no way. App tell me to input the pin code but when i input the pin code but it put a meesage saying that i am inputting a pin code not the password that was set the first time i used it with the old smartphone gopro-app.

Thanks for getting back to us.

Your camera will provide a Bluetooth PIN if the Wi-Fi information has not been set.

If the app is already asking for a password, this means that the Wi-Fi information has been set.

 

Try to go over the reset process again, it should confirm on the app that you have successfully set the name and the password.

What specific HERO4 camera are you using?

Reset the Wi-Fi information on your camera by following the steps on this article.

After the reset is done, proceed with the pairing process.

You may need to forget the Bluetooth ID if it will not connect.

I am sorry but no way. It is a hero4silver and I downloaded the gopro app from "Play store". The app steps appear to be a little bit different from your descrirption. Anyway I reset the wifi settings in the hero. Thens I followed the steps but ever a message pops-up saying that password is incorrect. Strange because step before asks me to input a PIN and after the message tells something like "....it seems you input a PIN code while you should be inputing a password...."
