Please try to reset your camera's connection settings.
After that try to pair it again.
Make sure that your phone's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth is turned on.

Got it @jamesp23078,
How about forgetting the Wi-Fi SSID of your camera if you paired it before.
Go to Wi-Fi settings and check the list of Wireless Networks if your camera name is there delete or forget the connection.
Remove it from bluetooth settings as well delete any GoPro Related Device on your phone's bluetooth settings.
After that reset wireless connection of your camera and then pair it again.
If issue persist try to install new firmware manually: https://gopro.com/help/articles/how_to/Software-Update-Instructions-for-HERO4-Session

My GoPro hasn’t given me the option to connect it via WiFi. When I have finished setting it up in the app, it then wants me to select the GoPro on the WiFi settings. It doesn’t even show up on the WiFi setting for me to select it.
Nothing to clear on WiFi setting, all deleted off Bluetooth settings.
It is all up to date, plugged the GoPro into my Mac and it says it has the most up to date software.
Thank you for your ideas. Have you go anymore?

Even if its updated you can still manually update your camera.
Please check the Manual Update step posted on the link above.
You need SD card adapter and format your SD card and copy the update file manually on your SD card to do that.

I have tired that, it will connect via Bluetooth but not WiFi. The option to chose it as a device in the WiFi settings still will not show up.
Thanks again. Any more ideas?
