GoPro iOS Quik Key Video Conversion

I have:
Hero 5 Black
iPhone 8+ 64GB
Quik Key
GoPro App
All Apps/Firmware/iOS Up to date.

Before copying files they to the iPhone the files are converted taking up additional time and space during conversion.

Is there a way / resolution that doesn’t require this conversion process.

My Hero5 is set to 1080 / 50fps with ProTune off.

Help appreciated

I think your phone supports NTSC only.
 

@epicstoke24613 please try to use NTSC instead of PAL on your camera and use 30 or 60FPS instead.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have set NTSC as well as 30 and 60 FPS. Conversion during import is still taking place.

The support document at https://gopro.com/help/articles/Question_Answer/Supported-Resolutions-for-Copy-and-Share-in-the-GoPr... states ‘Depending on your device’s processing power, some higher resolution files may need to be converted to a lower resolution.’
I have an iPhone 8 that is the most powerful iPhone and would like to find a resolution that removes the conversion process.

I think it would be best to contact GoPro Customer Support so that they can provide more options. 
I hope it would be all sorted out.

Done that, sadly the advice was to look on YouTube and contact Apple support. 🙁

Looking on YouTube you do see video files downloading without conversion but without any tips as to how.

I have managed to get a file direct from the memory card onto my phone, it can be played without issue and can be edited in iMovie or Quik also without issue, my iPhone 8 Plus can handle the file. The conversion taking place is either because of the Quik Key or GoPro app.

I’ll look to return the Quik Key to GoPro. 🙁
