I'm having the exact same issue with my Galaxy S7 and the Quik Key Adapter for Android. I just bought the GoPro Hero 6 so I don't know if that ever worked. I can see the images fine but no videos (GoPro App -> Quik Key or Quik -> SD Card). I tried a bit and it doesn't matter which fps or quality I use. I also turned down all extra features as gps.
When I check the sd card on android I can see the videos just fine. But not with the gopro app or the quik app.
I'm using SanDisk Extreme PLUS 128 GB V30 as recommended wit the original Quik Key, GoPro Hero 6 and a Samsung Galaxy S7.
I hope you can help me with this.

I tried 1080p with 200 / 60 and 25 fps and 4k with default fps. The apps are up to date. The camera is just a week old and the GoPro app sais there is no update available. I'm not sure what else to do. I also formatted the sd card within the GoPro with no success. I can see the videos with androids file browser and can watch them with VLC player but the GoPro app and also the Quik app will just show me the images I made. I hope we can make this work. My free space on my phone is quite low.

Pretty sure it has nothing to do with card type, frame rate, resolution, ....
Just a stupid simple thought:
The Hero 6 uses a different file naming than the hero 5. Could it be that simple that the GoPro & Quik app just don't recognise the footage because of different type of file names and therefor, the app thinks that the files on the card are not Gopro files?????????
The Hero 5 always uses GOPR as a prefix followed by a 4 digit number.
Hero 6 uses GX as a prefix for H265 media and a 5 digit number - and GH as a prefix for H264 media and a 5 digit number.
Should this be the problem somehow... And GoPro fixes it. They owe me a Fusion Camera as a thank you ;-)

@itsagoodday I think it's a good idea an guess what: I tried to rename the files and it worked!
Your thought is right. As soon as I renamed my testfiles from GHx to GOPRx it worked. I added some screenshots. It doesn't matter how many digits are after the prefix. Important seems to be the prefix only. The images made by the GoPro Hero 6 already have the prefix.
Is there someway to change the naming scheme? Or do we have to wait for an update?
Maybe the reason for the different naming are the two files GHx and GLx.
