GoPro app lowering resolution when saving to phone

I tried to save a 1080p video I took with my Max to my phone (On hero mode), but when I went to view the video it was a 683x384 video. This happens when I make a story too. I cant find any setting to mantain the resoution?

Re: GoPro app lowering resolution when saving to phone

Thanks for reaching out, @errorcode. Be sure to have the latest version of the app installed. Story export quality is automatically set to 1080P / 60 FPS. I also replicated saving a 1080P video captured with MAX in HERO mode into the GoPro App.

Here's the file info after saving the clip into Photos or local phone gallery. The source video resolution is retained.

Here's what my galaxy note 8 sees after it has been saved.

Re: GoPro app lowering resolution when saving to phone

Hello @errorcode

I have also tested this on a Huawei P30 and still get the same 1080 resolution.

If you have access to another phone, please see if the same happens.

This will help isolate the issue further,

Thanks!

Re: GoPro app lowering resolution when saving to phone

I have concluded for some reason on samsung devices the resolution has not changed when downloading but it still shows the 683x384.
