How are you signing up?
Login to your GoPro account on gopro.com
Once done, go to Subscriptions.
If it's still not going through, try clearing the browser's history.
You may also test it with a different browser.

Maybe the problem is that I was subscribed to the monthly plan, which expires at the end of september. I quit the abo and now I see just the monthly option in iTunes!
What happens if I wait until the abo expires and then try afterwards again? Will my data be lost?
