GoPro Hero 5 Keeps Disconnecting from GoPro Software on Android Phone

I am having issues with the GoPro software on my Android phone. I can clear connections, connect to the GoPro Hero 5 Black just fine. I can control the camera from the phone, but then it loses the connection. It won't reconnect again, unless I reset connections again and repair. I will be on a 12 day motorcycle ride, I am not going to be able to clear and repair multiple times a day.

 

While trying to find answers, I found this thread (https://community.gopro.com/t5/GoPro-Apps-for-Mobile/GoPro-app-keeps-disconnecting-from-camera-and-q...) and the Admin that replied asked the following:

 

May I know what SD card are you using?

I am using this MicroSD Card: https://amzn.to/2GVviET

It's a SanDisk Extreme 64GB microSDXC UHS-3 Card.

Also what phone are you using?

I am using an Android phone, the One Plus 6T McLaren edition.

Have you tried manually installing a new firmware?
I have not, but the website says 2.60 is the most recent and that is what my GoPro Hero 5 Black shows.

 

Any suggestions?

Please proceed with a manual software update, this usually corrects an errors that may have been encountered with the previous installation.

https://gopro.com/update/hero5

Once the update is done, proceed with a factory reset.

Let us know how it goes.
