Not sure I'm clear on what the issue is. If you're able to connect the GoPro to the GoPro app, but aren't able to preview the live view from the camera or control the functions, there may be an issue with the camera's firmware. Try doing a manual update using the instructions at https://gopro.com/en/us/update/hero_session. It's also a good idea to check that you're using the latest version of the app.

hi i have this problem with my gopro hero4 silver
i have found if you do a hard reset it solves the problem for a few weeks then needs doing again you will have to have a look on youtube on how to do a hard restet on your session i no it can be done iv done it on my session when i got it because it did the same thing and never had a problem since
