I can see the older media I took till about mid June this year. However anything from the last 2 weeks it states there is nothing there to download when there is. I’ve tried all the help ideas from here like “forget camera then reconnect it” and “take new media”. Anything obvious I’m doing wrong?

Thanks for reaching out. Just to verify, when you have your camera connected to the GoPro App, tap on "View Media" or the icon with nine (9) boxes, are you able to see your recently captured contents?
The media contents should sorted out by date. Try to scroll down through the Media List. See if the photos and videos were just dated incorrectly.
Otherwise, you may also try to connect your microSD card to your computer using an SD card adapter or reader. Once connected, access the DCIM folder in the SD card and check if you can find the contents from there.

Hi, tried that and it doesn’t show there, just the older stuff. I don’t have a computer just use my iPad. The strange thing is I managed to watch the first thing I’d filmed at the end of June but when I went back in later it wasn’t there. After that, any other footage that I’d taken the app just said there was nothing there to download.

@mackay67, I find it strange as there's no some sort of auto-deletion or a feature similar to that in the GoPro App. It could be either the video wasn't successfully saved or the file got manually deleted. Just to make sure, I suggest to check the SD card on your computer. By then if you're still unable to locate the files, you can try some file/data recovery applications to retrieve the missing contents.
Unfortunately, we do not have any preferred methods of data recovery as this may vary from SD card manufacturers of the preferred methods for recovering your data. However, you may be able to perform a Google search to find various data recovery options to recover the footage that had been lost. Yet, please do your research on whichever data recovery software is best for you as it may require activation of the software and there may be varying costs.
Since this is certainly not normal for missing files to suddenly go missing, we recommend to reach out to the SD card manufacturer to further troubleshoot the SD card.
