Editing HVEC

So I'm a wn10 pro user and yes I got the hvec update from microsoft.  However, the gopro app quik does not recognize the videos; also it appears very difficult to create slow motion video from 240fps.  Does anyone have a recommendation for a program to edit hvec other than adobe?  Corel Video Studio is very buggy with hvec and freezes upon attempt at import.

thanks!

Hello @fireydive47807

You can convert Your HEVC Videos to the H.264 Codec using Handbrake which is a free, open source application. You can do this with minimal loss in image quality. Please reference How to Convert GoPro HEVC Videos to H.264 Using HandBrake, for step-by-step instructions.

Alternatively, you can use VSDC for Windows, and/or DaVinci Resolve as other members suggested.

Best regards,
Marius
