Connecting Gopro app to Gopro3 silver

Hello everyone,
Everything was working perfectly i.e(connection between gopro app and camera) once i updated the gopro camera with the latest update after things went wrong. I CAN make a connection between the gopro app and the camera BUT i can't see anything on the screen of my mobile or see my photos. I have tried everything with no luck.
I am using:
Android version 8.0.0
Gopro3 silver
Samsung A5(2017)
V03.00 Gopro update

I hope someone there will be able to help me.

Is your compatible with Android 9?

Also, please test the camera with a different phone. See if it pairs.

Yes i have tried different mobiles and still have the same problem. I don't know if my mobile phone will support the android 9. If i could undo the latest update i think the problem would be solved. Do you know how to reset the camera to the factory default????

@heroicvist755, thanks for going through the troubleshooting steps. You can reset the camera to its default settings using the steps here Reset Camera Settings. Anyhow, does the preview issue happens on all Modes (e.g. Video Mode, Photo Mode, etc.) and video resolutions?

It happens in any mode(photo,video,burst). I updated the camera about 4 times and still no luck. I think if i uninstall the latest update it would work(not sure though). I think the solution is to wipeout the software completely and but the old version OR i would like to take the camera to a gopro dealer to sort it out or..... I lost hope, Anyone can help here

I called the Gopro support team. I discussed with them the issue and they issued me a case no. which is 06795641. They asked me to upload a short youtube video clip explaining my case, which i did. I called them this morning 3 times and in each time they put me onhold for more than 30 mins and then they cut me off. I have to say this is by far the worest customer service i ever had in my life. Please if you can't do your job properly tell us and we will reach someone who do.

Surely this is not something we would like you to experience as a GoPro customer.

 

Based on the case, an email has been sent with instructions of doing a manual update a RECOMMENDED SD CARD.
