Cloud tab on app does not work properly

I'm an Android user and I didn't get how the two tabs "app" and "cloud" work.

If I got it right, The "app" show all the content that have been downloaded from the camera.

The "cloud" should show the content uploaded on the cloud in case of GoPro Plus (my case). But, I don't see in this tab all the pictures that are in the cloud, I rather see just a few. How is it possible?

Other point, if I got it, all the pictures in the "app" tab will be pushed in the cloud but, once again, nothing happens on the cloud by doing this.

I have now set up the automatic upload straight from the camera to see how it work.

Can someone explain me and give me some details? Because the website explanation are too much high level.

Re: Cloud tab on app does not work properly

If you have auto cloud uploading selected on the app (default is only when the phone is connected to Wi-Fi and not mobile data), the media sent to the app will upload to the cloud.

Unfortunately, it does not seem that the current app consistently updates correctly when displaying media that had been uploaded to the cloud (this should be fixed soon). Try going into your app manager and then clearing the GoPro app cache and then restarting your phone. You can always check to see if the media has been transferred my going to gopro.com and logging into the main web page. From there, select the person icon on the top right and then go into My Media.

Re: Cloud tab on app does not work properly

Thanks, this cover almost all my doubts.

Furthermore, I have set up the automatic media upload from gopro when plugged to the power and connected to wifi, but nothing happens

Re: Cloud tab on app does not work properly

Just to add details, It seems that just the pictures sent to the app will upload to the cloud and not automatically from the camera.

Have the camera to be always on to grant the upload? Or it will work even though it's sleeping?

Re: Cloud tab on app does not work properly

Auto Cloud uploading through the camera is set up using the GoPro app. However, once the camera has been successfully paired to a home WiFi network, the camera will upload automatically when it is plugged into a wall charger and the battery is fully charged.

Re: Cloud tab on app does not work properly

The camera should wake up and begin uploading automatically. You need to make sure that you have used the GoPro app to connect the camera to your WiFi network (press the cloud with the up arrow).

Also, make sure auto Cloud uploading is selected in the camera Preferences>GoPro Plus>Auto Uploading ON

Finally, the camera must be plugged into a wall charger providing 5V 2A (1A sometimes works, but isn't as consistent). It works best when connected to the GoPro Supercharger, but this isn't a requirement (although recommended).

Re: Cloud tab on app does not work properly

Issue solved: even though the camera was 2 meters far from the router it was sufficient to not start the upload. I've put it next to the router and the process started.

Cool!
