This is what happens when compaies loose site of thier core user base and bow in to marketing. I am VERY interested in what "professional users" are doing about this. Can you imagine renting a plane, getting ready to jump, only to find that you can't connect? (Not that I expect anyone from GoPro to actually read this or even respond.)

GoPro has no intention of changing this now that they have monetized their customers data.

This is BEYOND FRUSTRATING. I completed screwed up an opportunity to record a precious moment because I couldn't use my phone to change the settings on my Session camera. I am so angry at this incredibly stupid decision by GoPro. Will definitely look at the Garmin action cameras because I can't have this happen again.
Is there any way to downgrade the previous GoPro app which didn't have this POS requirement?
GoPro, I WANT TO BE IN CHARGE OF MY CAMERA, remove this effing stupid requirement otherwise I'm dumping GoPro and swtiching to your opposition.
What email address do I use to complain to GoPro?

Capture 3.2 now has a bypass for the login requirement.
Sure has been an infuritating situation.

Power to the people. I like how they list the bug fix for "accidental logout" as well. Glad this was addressed.

So I emailed GoPro customer service and they replied on 31 January tpo tell me that "At this point there is no word on this feature being removed and it continues to remain a requirement." Good to see Customer Support are being kept in the loop...
Anyway, seems like a sensible change by GoPro.
