Hi - I can not connect to my camera via the App unless I physically switch the camera on using either the record or menu button on the camera. If the camera goes off I can reconnect within a few minutes. I am using my camera for flying videos. I set the camera up on the wing of the aeroplane, and leave it switched off. It is probably 10-15 minutes before I'm ready to start recording. By the time I want to start recording I can no longer establish a wifi link with the camera. I have tried deleteing the wifi and bluetooth settings, and setting the camera up from scratch. Any ideas? This used to work fine.

What version number is your GoPro app on?
I have tested my HERO5 Session running on 2.51 and was able to turn in ON from the app after about 20 minutes.
The GoPro app connection is supposed to last up to 8 hours.
See if resetting the camera's Wi-Fi settings helps.
