I am also sooo frustrated with this problem.
I basically never use my fusion anymore because downloading everything on the pc and then converting and then editing is just too troublesome.
The Android app is really what sells the camera for me.
And it's been MONTHS it stopped working :/
You saying you're working on it, but very soon Google (I have a Pixel 2XL) is going to release the new version of Android... and then the problem will start over!

I purchased Gopro Fusion yesterday. I use Samsung Galaxy Note 9, and having the same "black screen" issue mentioned by the others. I am unable to see any preview on the screen.
The camera works fine with my roommates iPhone-10.
This is unrealistic for me to change my cellphone to be able to use the Camera.
Is there any possible quick updates (fix) available in near future?
Otherwise, I might need to return the camera this week.
