If the serial number is not being accepted, that's usually an indication that you may have been going in through the update steps for a different camera model than the one you have. Please try it again by going to the update page and being sure to select the model of your camera on the left side first. If that doesn't work, our Support team can help,

yeah, it's the new Hero Session 

 tried a few times, keep getting the same error.

 I did find my other issue though,
 The USB lead I got is faulty.
When I tried another lead, my PC found my GoPro no problem.
 
 Wasn't expecting that, as it was charging fine with the supplied USB lead, but my PC was not seeing it.
 Swap the lead, problem solved.

 Now, if I can register it, that would be great :-)

@stulec52 - If registering it by going through the manual update link at https://gopro.com/update/hero_session doesn't accept the serial number, our team at https://gopro.com/help/PKBContactus can help get you registered.
