Using hero 5 Session
Videos recorded in resolutions 720, 960, 1080 play just fine in Windows Media Player.
Videos recorded in resolutions 1440, 2.7K, 4K do NOT play in Windows Media Player (plays audio only).
I am running Windows 7

You have given no information about your computer other than the operating system so my assumption is you need a better computer or at least some upgrades.
If you want to try a different media player, VLC media player is pretty good and uses very little resources.

Im not trying to be rude either. The answer that "my computer has limitaions" is obvious. But that wasn't my question.
My question: Is there a way to play > 1080 resolution on Windows Media Player. Such as new CODECs? WMP Upgrade? Conversion to a different format.... something else?
Or is WMP just not capable regradless of upgrades, CODECs, etc...
