[ New ]Hello @rowingnick. Are you trying to download media from your HERO5 camera to a computer? Please walk us through the steps you are taking so we can help better.
If you haven't installed the Quik for desktop app yet, it would be best to do so in order for the import to be automatic. Alternatively, you may also use an SD card adapter to directly insert the SD card to your computer and transfer media manually. We hope to hear back from you. Feel free to post back with any other question or concern.
In case this issue maybe related to the camera not being detected as a USB device, you may go through these steps.
