session upload to mac via usb

I'm unable to connect my GOPRO Session to my brand new MacBook Air. I have tried using the GOPRO usb cable as well as three other ones. Each time I turn on my gopro using the small back button and immediately inserting it in, the LSD displays it charging for a second then loses the connection. It will continue to charge however will shut off automatically.

@hikebelife - To import directly from the camera, you'll need to use the Quik for Desktop program at http://bit.ly/2hwISDN.

Also, the camera will need to be turned on for importing to begin. If the camera is off, it will go into a charging mode.
