laggy playback - QUIK

Im not going to lie, Im slightly annoyed by how crap my whole go pro experience has been thus far. It was a present for our travel trip, The camera was not cheap , you could at least provide ONE accesory to get started with some wobble free video recording. So I have to buy a bunch of accessories and then the free video editing software (QUIK) does not play back my videos properly so I cant even edit them which is the whole point in me having the go pro in the first place. The playback is fine through my laptops other media playing apps - windows etc but they dont provide editing or if I get a seperate editor I have to upload each seperate video to it which will take all ear. So, now I have to waste my own precious travel time trying to fix my crap go pro software so that I can edit my crap wobbley videos, thanks. Please provide some help so I can get this sorted asap and get on with my trip, also a link to go pro studio would be good, it looks like a better editing tool than this Quik?
