I downloaded the fusion software and there was no option to install the plugins. So I found a plugin downloader at kolor, ran it, and the boxes to install the software are greyed out and cannot be checked.
So... how can I get these plugins exactly? Running the latest versions of AE and PP as of today.

I was just about to post the same question. I installed Fusion last night and when it got to the option to install the plugins I could not check the boxes. When I tried to uninstall and reinstall the software the plugin for the VR Viewer was automatically installed but the rest were still unclickable. So I downloaded the standalone package from kolor.com and it acts the same way. What gives GoPro?

I too had this problem with a fresh machine, new install of Premiere 2019 and Fusion studio.
As mentioned in previous posts I contacted support (Justin) who asked me for my specs (dxdiag) on windows.
A few days later he supplied me with a solution which works. I guess they are able to work around the install by manually having you
place the plugins and some dll's in the right places. This I believe is just for the 2019 AE and PP.
This might be different if you had a previous version of any of the softwares installed, I guess thats why they ask.
Just drop them a line and they will sort you out!

I manually installed the files from the link and everything seems to be working now.
For others who are in the same situation as we are, I wrote a little how to on how I maually installed the plugins that chromazone linked. It is a pretty straight forward process and only takes about 5 minutes to do. Here is the link to the writeup (the site is brand new and not yet complete but this post works), Manually install GoPro Fusion VR Extensions for Windows
