UPDATE: Filmora is not compatible with Big Sur either.......

But there is always the QuickTime Player app on Mac, which I had forgotten about.

I can see advantages to using their cloud upload.  If you are on a vacation or away from your computer awhile, it would reduce the risk of losing your footage should your SD card become corrupt or damaged, loose your gopro etc.

 

But for me, I don't think I'll need it as I am going to film my day rides on my motorcycle, come home and download footage to my externatl hard drive, then edit using....???  iMovie???

 

Your mileage may vary, but I think I'll cancel my auto upload subscription.

QuickTime...I also had forgotten about....rarely use.

 

Is it only for playing...or can you use it to edit on desktop?

 

I can use gopro player to watch footage, I'm wanting to edit on my iMac but quik won't work for that.

It seems you can do the same amount of basic editing as in GoProQuik, except image capture, but that can be done in Lightroom...
