gopro studio step 2 shows a blacked out video

Hello Guys,

I have been trying to make a Timelapse in gorpo studio using the pics I clicked in my gopro hero 6. The images are imported well and then the conversion goes on fine. But then in step 2 all I can see is a blacked out video, none of the images are visible. (please note I am not using quick as I am unable to log into it, as it juest keeps saying 'authenticating').

I have changed the default directory to a folder named "gopro" in my desktop, however still the issue persists.

I have also attached the snapshot of the same.

Look forward to a resolution soon as I could not find it in the forum.

Re: gopro studio step 2 shows a blacked out video

Hi @surojit666

Try to run the application in compatibility mode.

Right Click GoPro Studio then choose different compatibility mode such as Windows 7 mode Windows 8 or 8.1 mode.

If that won't work try to install cineform decoder.

http://cineform.com/gopro-cineform-decoder

After installing that restart your PC and Run in Compatibility mode again.

Let us know if that will work.

Best Regards,

-Jay

Dear @graytree76514

Thanks for your response.

I tried to run it in compatibality mode, however it didnt work.

Also the link for the cineform decoder is broken, I could however find this https://github.com/gopro/cineform-sdk , but I am not sure how to install this.

Cheers,

Surojit

Hi surojit666,

Do you have Quicktime Player installed?

Please try to install Quicktime as well if that will work,

The Cineform Decoder used to have a software where in you just have to click and it will now install.

But looks like it has been removed.

Try to install Quicktime and let us know if that will work.

Regards,

Jay

Re: gopro studio step 2 shows a blacked out video

Thanks surojit666,

Try to check this if this one is applicable for you.

Post back after trying it out.

There are a lot of suggestion. You may try them all.

Reinstallation isn't an option since GoPro Studio is no longer available.

Also we should consider compatibility.

Can you provide the specs of your computer?

Thanks,

Jay
