a week or so ago my desktop app stopped working, after a year or two of no problems on same machine.
I use windows 7 64 bit, as far as I can tell everything is up to date (video drivers).
I did a checkdisk on all drives, and defragged. uninstalled the app and reinstalled. booted several times. studio and studio
tray app work find, but the desktop app crashes on start every time. I disabled all firewall and antivirus and still crashes.

the only thing I have installed recently is zonealarm pro firewall.
here are the system specs:
AMD FX-8370 8-core, 4 ghz
32 gb ram
nvidia geforce gt730 (nvidia reports driver is up to date: 3/13/2015 ver 220.127.116.1188
windows 7 professional
cdrive has around 200gb left on a 1TB
the destop app used to pop up as designed when I plug the gopro into the usb 3 port,
now I have to copy files manually. (not the end of the world, just don't understand what
has happened to make program stop working)

Had no problems with this software for round 1/2 year.
After a windows 7 (64bit) bluescreen the app couldn't start.
Reinstalling the driver didn't work.
Hope to get it working with a new installed win 7.
