Re: connecting my hero 5 to quik on windows

GoPro cameras won't import directly when plugged into a computer. The easiest way to import to your computer is to install Quik for Desktop. Then, once your camera is connected and powered on, Quik will import any content that is on the camera's SD card. Instructions are at https://gopro.com/help/articles/how_to/How-to-Import-Using-GoPro-for-Desktop.

As an alternative, you can also import directly to your computer from the SD card. Use an SD card adapter that can plug into your USB port and insert your SD card from your GoPro. Then, you should be able to import from the SD card onto your computer's hard drive.
