Where Did Gopro Studio Go?
[ New ]I purchased a Gopro Hero 5 black a couple months ago and downloaded the quik desktop app (v2.3 i believe). I was able to get both the Quik software and Gopro Studio without doing anything special. Both worked fine on my PC running Windows 10. I then recently purchased a Karma Grip and when trying to update to the 8/21 software, my Karma Grip went into error mode. I read online that a fix was to uninstall Quik, reinstall the latest version, then update the Karma Grip. I uninstalled Quik, then reinstalled v2.4. Karma Grip was able to download the latest update and now works fine, however Gopro Studio is nowhere to be found. I have tried uninstalling and redownloading the Quik software and cannot find Gopro Studio. Everything online says that Gopro Studio is supposed to come as a part of of the latest "Gopro App", which seems to be Quik Desktop (as all the links bring me to this download page on gopros website).
Am i missing something? Any help is much appreciated!

Re: Where Did Gopro Studio Go?
[ New ]There may be a possibility it is in your computer still, try going to:
Windows (C:) > Program Files (x86) > GoPro > Tools > GoPro Studio.
If this doesn't work then you definitely don't have it and we're in the same boat.

Re: Where Did Gopro Studio Go?
[ New ]It has not been confirmed that GoPro Support did in fact recommend it though, so download and use at your own risk.
This is an old, but still relevant list of Studio alternatives https://www.reddit.com/r/VideoEditing/comments/19v6u5/basic_guide_to_pc_video_editing_software/

Re: Where Did Gopro Studio Go?
[ New ]This is the most current version of Studio. I just downloaded it a week or two ago, just before it was pulled from Quik. This is the executable file. Hope it works for everyone. I hopefully have shared it correctly thru Dropbox.

Re: Where Did Gopro Studio Go?
[ New ]What the F is this fkn **bleep**? Quik SUCKS. The F are you thinking GOPRO you seriously F'd up on this one. I'm livid. Quik is garbage functionally, and you take away the one part about it that worked? Unreal. Seriously wishing I bought a different brand at this point.
At least leave the links up so we can avoid your **bleep**ty new software.

There are plenty of free and paid video editors availble. GoPro still offers more in the way of free desktop and mobile apps than the competitors.
