Re: What's happened to the Quik for Desktop apps?

[ New ]

There's plenty of free editing apps online.  If you want something professional, try DaVinci Resolve.

GoPro is working on new software that supports the Hero 8 fully (unlike Quik) meanwhile you can always avail of the GoPro app for android and iOS which can fully edit your video's.

you really suggest him to buy an iphone to celebrate his editing???

You just oversee the fact that he first has to load his clips to a device!

You know that the ios app doesn't transfer clips? Instead it crashes all the time. So this point is useless.

In sum, your whole answer is useless.

Useless as gopro itself - hardware, software, support, contact. Nothing of all this is working somehow.

If such a low quality answer ever comes directly from gopro, they can close their doors forever. Cause THIS is cheating - and not a workaround. And by far no solution.

So with the Big Sur (and probably previous version AFTER Apple did their fix), I am able to easily import in my GoPro videos with ease into the Photo app, which is what I was using when I first got my GoPro many, many years ago.

I wished then and I wish now, that GoPro stays AWAY from software. Focus on devices, which by the looks of it, with the lack of supporting software, you were able to produce GoPro 9 which is actually really cool with a front and back screen. Keep moving forward with hardware and stay away from software.

after 7hb issues without an end in sight, no support at all, no warranty replacement for a faulty device, i wished they would never produce anything!

Never saw such a bad over all "quality" somewhere else.

Still no updates on a PC software replacement?

and if GoPro took the app away, what's the point of having unlimited cloud storage with gopro plus. We might as well cancel it because we can't upload it now? This was originally posted in May 2020, and it's a few days away from December already. Doing great, GoPro.

Hi @spirystoke06207

There are other ways to upload the files to the cloud.

Check out How to Add Media to GoPro Subscription

Thanks!

so because I can't use the desktop app, I need to put 256GB worth of video on my phone to upload it to the cloud? Doesn't sound like a good solution to me.
