Quik won't open or recognize a time lapse

Shot my first time lapse last night and the file is on the sd card but quik desktop won't recognize it.  The thumbnail doesn't show up either

Hi @scottd75053

Do you observe the same when opening/saving the file on a different program or on the GoPro App(mobile)?

Thanks!

Ej

Re: Quik won't open or recognize a time lapse

Thanks for trying @scottd75053

Are these time-lapse videos or photos?

Can you try saving the files manually on your computer?

Create a media folder then add it to Quik for desktop.

See How to Add Media Folders in Quik for desktop for reference.

Regards,

Ej

It was actually a night lapse and I was able to save it to the computer but you can't play it in windows movie. Then you search the file on the hard drive from quik it says the folder is empty. Its like it doesn't recognize the file type.

Re: Quik won't open or recognize a time lapse

@scottd75053, Quik for Desktop recognizes the original source files from a GoPro camera. What's the file type? You may also share with us a screenshot showing the file info so we can better look at the details.
