Quik "Check for New Cloud Media" not working

New Go Pro Plus cloud user. I just uploaded some video to my GoPro Plus account. Afterwards I opened GoPro Quik Desktop for Windows and selected the "Check for New Cloud Media" option but nothing happens and Quik is not detecting the media I uploaded. Any thoughts on what's causing this? Thank you.

 

My version of Quik is 2.7.0.945 which seems to be the latest.

I tried this to no avail on my current PC. It might be a few days before I can try on another PC.

Hello @srwings. How did you upload your media to the cloud? Are you able to see them when you log in through gopro.com?

 

It may take some time for the media to be detected by Quik for desktop. If you are still not seeing the media, check through the media tab using the filters (drop-down menu). You may also scan through the collection for an earlier date. The media could have been dated incorrectly (as observed in some cases). You may sign out of Quik for desktop, sign back in and search again. 

 

If you the media are still not found, try logging into the GoPro app on a mobile device to isolate whether the issue is only with the desktop application. Let us know what you find out by posting back. Thanks!

Thanks for the speedy response. It's been at least an hour since I uploaded the vid to GoPro Plus via the web interfact. I've tried signing out of Desktop Quik as well as trying the filters to no avail. I can, however, see the uploads via my iPhones Quik app so I guess that's telling up the issue may be something about the desktop app.

It could be the case, @srwings. Those files are sourced from GoPro and not from a different camera or device, right? To further isolate the issue, see if you will be able to access the GoPro media through the Quik app using a different computer. I just did a sample upload to my plus account, and so far, was able to access the media through Quik. 

 

Try this too: while on your Quik for desktop page, click on View (upper left portion) and select Hide Cloud Media. Then go back to select Show Cloud Media. See if the recently-uploaded files will be there. Try on a different computer as well, if available.
