Quik on desktop keeps not responding once I try to go to create mode or I try to view my media.

Hello Everyone,

 

Basically when I open my quik app on my computer (windows 10 OS, 8 GB of RAM, i7 processor), it opens fine and I am able to import my media with no problem. However, whenever I try to view any media or go into create mode, the program freezes up and won't respond. I tried restarting my computer, uninstalling and reinstalling the quik program, and tried disabling my graphics card (saw this as a possible solution on another similiar post). I have yet to find any real solution to this problem and from the looks of it, it looks like a lot of people are having this problem so any help would be greatly appreciated!
