Quik not recognizing gopro 7 black

[ New ]

I have a windows surface pro, everything on my computer is upto date, my gopro itself is also upto date.

My gopro will respond when plugged into the computer (screen showing USB connection) as well as my computer reconizing that the gopro is connected. The problem comes with Quik, it will not reconize that the gopro is plugged in. It just tells me to connect the gopro. I have uninstalled and reinstalled quik, and when I contacked support I was just told to "turn it off and then back on".

I have tried to google the issue but am coming up blank and I appreciate any help I can get thank you.

Hi @torim23121,

Please try this.

Use an SD card adapter first.

Coonect your SD card directly to your computer.

Back up all your files and then reformat it using your computer.

After reformatting insert the SD card to your camera again.

Take a photo or record short video clips to test.

Then check if Quik will now recognize it.

If issue persist try to create new local account on your computer.

You may check Microsoft's website on how to do that.

Regards,

-Jay
