Quik not compatible with macOS Catalina?! [ New ]

Hello,

i just tried to import videos and it doesn't work!

I don't always want to take the memory card out of the device to transfer videos to my computer. 

When is there a solution to this problem? If there is no solution, I have to switch to another manufacturer!

Hello Everyone!

Please check the settings on your Mac.

See if the "Access to Photos" option for Quik, was disabled in Security & Privacy settings.

I Have the same problem!

I't's my first GoPro so far not impresse, i have all sort of problem, battery drain when it's off, the quick app does't work, now i'm affraid to test it in the water.  For the price it's verry cheap made i have the hero 7 balck.

Same problem here.

I am not able to connect Hero7 camera to Mac desktop and Quik application. Quik application does not recognize the SD memory card any more. It used to work just fine, but after last Mac OS (Catalina) update it is not working anymore.

The Quik does not recognize the memorycard reader  + Gopro formatted memory card either. It shows just the same wrong information - nothing in the memory card.

The bug must be in the Quik app, because Mac's finder does find the media with the memory card reader and so does Mac's Photos application. Mac's photos finds the files from both Hero7 + memory card and card reader + memory card. Hero 7 is also accessible by the iPhone by the bluetooth connection. Every combinations works, except when Quik is involved.

SD Card: Sandisk Ultra 64 G

USB cable A: the cable that came with Gopro Hero 7 black

USB cable B: the cable that came with the memory card reader

1) Hero 7 + GoPro formatted SD card + USB cable A + Quik -> Not working

2) Card reader + GoPro formatted SD card + USB cable B + Quik -> Not working

3) Hero 7 + GoPro formatted SD card + USB cable A + Mac Photos -> OK

4) Card reader + GoPro formatted SD card + USB cable B + Mac Photos -> OK

5) Card reader + GoPro formatted SD card + USB cable B + Mac Finder -> OK

6) Hero 7 + GoPro formatted SD card + iPhone 11 with GoPro app and wireless connection -> OK

What is common to the failures : Quik

Please fix the Quik issue with Mac OS Catalina quick.

I have the same problem with:

GoPro Hero5 Session

Quik app ver 2.7.0.874

MacBook Pro (Retina 13-in Early 2015) i7 3.1GHz, 16GB ram, Catalina 10.15.2
