Quik launches but window doesn't open

I've installed Quik for Desktop multiple times after updates, restarts, unplugging GoPro, etc. Quik appears in my taskbar but the actual window never opens. When I hover my cursor over the taskbar icon, the preview is completely blank and nothing happens when I click on it. (no white window, just nothing) I've only downloaded the newest version of it but nothing works. I've tried changing the compatibility settings in properties but I haven't found any fixes.

Not quite, the log-in window doesn't even appear for me. The icon appears in the taskbar and that's about it.

i am wondering if Gopro really do QA on Quik,

i tried

1) clean win10, w/wo grapic driver, w/wo firewall

2) clean win7

3) used win7

4) used win10

Nothing works...

I have the same problem... Multiple attempts to reinstall but quik sits in the system tray with only a blank page. what's the point of the software if it doesn't open?

I tried installing a previous version (which did work) but even that doesn't open.

And not a single response from GoPro in any of the threads i've seen...
