I spent an hour and a half with GoPro chat this eveing. They said nothing about disabling my video card. Had me send them a complete DxDiag which they said everything looked fine on. Had me uninstall and reinstall the app twice and still nothing but locked up videos after about one second of play and then just audio until the final frame shows up...we got disconnected from chat so i will have to follow up tomorrow with them again but this is pretty frustrating when I see that people have been having this problem literally for years. I only upgraded to windows 10 on this laptop so I could run this app and now nothing seems to work. I know it should not be any issue with my camera because it downloads fine to my iPad but I hate trying to edit on a tablet so I started down this road for my laptop. Any recent fixes, suggestions or ideas are greatly appreciated...

Bumping because I'd like to know this as well. I only have an Nvidia GPU (970 GTX) and no integrated GFX (working off of my desktop with overclocked i5-4690K and 16GB RAM). Video previews play relatively fine in GoPro Studio (thought that program has its own crashing issues), but videos are very choppy in Quik, not to mention Create Mode being almost unusable due to instability.

There is a recent update to the Quik for Desktop app. Please check it out. Also, see if this helps: https://gopro.com/help/articles/solutions_troubleshooting/Quik-for-desktop-Crashes-while-Opening-Cre...
