Quik just keeps crashing Windows 10

I have a new computer which runs Windows 10. I can’t edit any of my gopro footage. While the files imported (eventually, after crashing multiple times), every time I open ‘create’ the program just crashes. It’s so frustrating. I can’t understand why this is so hard!

Sorry to hear about the trouble. This mostly occurs in computers running multiple graphics cards, and Quik for desktop is prioritizing the high performance NVIDIA or AMD card. Check to see if the steps to fix discussed in this article will get rid of the crashes. Let us know how it goes.

Was that the end of your reply GoPro. Year later and I still have this problem. I feel like returning this this to the store as everytime I try to do something with my £800 6+grip set, something goes wrong

I have the same problem. Gopro's suggested fix here (https://gopro.com/help/articles/solutions_troubleshooting/Quik-for-desktop-Crashes-while-Opening-Cre...) doesn't work. Useless!

Hi @luisxiv,

 

Have you tried running it on compatibility mode or run with graphics processor? 

 

Just right click on the app icon and choose Run with Graphics Processor or Run in Compatibility Mode.

 

Please let us know if that will work.

Hello sir, yes, I tried with compatibility for Windows 8 and 7, also trying to run it as Admin, same result, crash, I only have 1 video card, GTX 1080 TI, any other suggestion? thanks in advance
