Quik for windows will not import my video files other than a 7 second video. All videos in h.264

Hi,

i am a new gopro user and recently bought the hero 7 black. This is my first time importing videos which are all relatively small 1080p 60fps videos just to test out the software.Quik for desktop will only import one 7 second video and fails to mport anything larger than that. I have used h.264 on all videos so it can't be due to the common HEVC codec issue. I am so confused and at this point wish i hadn't bought a gopro. Please help!!

Hi aenriquez, thanks for your response. I think I have established that the files are in the hevc format eventhough my computer stated otherwise. So it appears I am just having the same common problem as others with older computers. I have changed the settings on my gopro so hopefully they will all save as h.264 from now on. Thanks again.

@stoutgorge73177, it seems strange if Quik for Desktop on your computer is unable to import videos that are more than 7 seconds in length. Quik for desktop will save the files by the date they were taken, then by the camera that took the video and pictures, and then organize the media by type(Photo, Video, TimeLapse, etc...).

Are you getting any error message upon import? Or does Quik for Desktop completes the import process, but the rest of the video files are missing on the Media Library?

Are you importing your media files using your HERO7 Black camera (connected to your computer via USB-C cable)? Or through SD card (via SD card adapter/reader)?
