Quik for Desktop

[ Edited ]

I have manualy imported videos to my macbook and added de media to Quik. These are my first videos with my  brand new Hero 6. The issue I have is that all the media in Quik plays in slow motion. How do I playback in real speed? Playing back the video with the Gopro is fine. The videos were shot @1080 120fps. I am using OSX 10.11.6.

Re: Quik for Desktop

Hello @enriquer510

There is no feature in Quik that would cause playback to be in slow motion so the issue maybe associated with particular settings on your computer. I tested with playback of videos with the same resolution as yours and tried it both on Mac and Windows, in Quik and a different media player and the playback was normal.

Is this issue observed only for resolutions set at 120 fps? How does the video play using a different media player? If you do not have it yet, see if installing the latest version of the Quik for desktop app will help clear the issue.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,
Marius

Re: Quik for Desktop

Hi Marius,

Thanks for your feedback. I have actually experienced a slow motion chopped video. It seams that my computer is the source for this behavior. I am using a MacBook 13-inch, 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, Mid 2010. I read that i5 processor is the minimum requirement for Quik running in a MacBook. I did not have the chance to try with another machine yet.

Kind regards,

Enrique
