I went over those steps. No change. Both Win10 machines app crash most every time I start the app. Both are i7 4 core (Skylake). Both only have Intel HD graphics. Both are running Quik downloaded last Friday. Both machines have generated dozens of crash reports for your app in the last several hours alone. Most look similar to this:

You really should fix this or remove the Windows app from your site. Are users more frustrated by no Windows app at all or one that just can't run without crashing?!?? I bet the latter.

I tried the suggestions here and nothing worked. I noticed that it appears Quik was trying to open on a previously connected projector. I snapped one screen and then was able to snap back to Quik:

Hi, none of these stps mentioned in the official GoPro troubleshooter work.
This is really dissapointing. Why should i be spending hours of my life troublshooting something that iv'e paid for and that claims to be super smooth?!
I'm considering to switch to other manufacturer, serisously!!

The whole GoPro brand is ridiculous... I have a Hero5 Black, I can't update that with the smartphone application, I can't run Quik software on my laptop, 'cause it doesn't work. I have to spend hours to find solution but there is no solution... I'm so disappointed.
