Quik fails to launch

[ New ]

I have used the Quik app and Quik Studio app. Currently, the Quik app keeps failing. Once I click on the app, it begins to open but it never fully opens. The screen remains black, the other functions like "file, media, help" and so on will not respond to the cursor. Along with the close or shrink function, they will not respond when they are struck with the cursor. Can you please advise me on how to correct this?

Thanks, Ryan

Thank you! That worked. Now, on to my next and hopefully my final issue. I use to use Studio to create videos of about 70-90 minutes for game tapes. I see i can no longer do that with the options provided by using my media, only create mode of less than 60 seconds. Can you please provide any info that would allow me to "create" a video that would last the length of an entire game?

Thanks, Ryan

Hi @ryanm7872

We are glad to hear that Quik for desktop is now working on your computer.

If you’re looking for a non-linear editor to make your own custom edits, you can use iMovie on Mac or VSDC on Windows- http://www.videosoftdev.com/free-video-editor/download.

Thanks!

EJ

Im not getting the results i am looking for when it comes to editing. I tried the above program but I am having trouble with their functions. On the side for now. I am using the Quik app and create mode for clips less than 60 seconds. I need to remove the music function from the clips I create. How do I do that?

Thanks, Ryan

Hello @ryanm7872

For other editing apps that you can use,  you can check out @danielr15 's post on this thread: https://community.gopro.com/t5/Karma/Editing/m-p/195164#/M10930 . Removing the music function is not a feature supported by Quik for desktop. This feature is available in Quik for Mobile

Thanks,

Marius

Hello @fireystorm38871

Is your computer updated to the latest OS version? Alternatively, you can check with your computer;s manufacturer for further assistance.

Thanks,
