Quik Import from Hard drive.

Hi,

I would like to import my footage from my external hard drive. Actually the importing isn`t the problem, it does that automatically. The problem is that the footage cannot be saved anywhere because i am not directly connecting a gopro or the sd card, its all offloaded footage from the past few months. There seems to be no option (no pop up on the left/no device to IMPORT from...) to keep the protune (or whatever it is Quik does to the footage) version.  I would like to keep that saturated look that i get when import to quik. Is there a solution to this, seeing as it seems to be a really simple thing.

Thanks

Tom

Re: Quik Import from Hard drive.

Hello @greensurf5300

Quik actually keeps whatever resolution that was set when the GoPro media (video/photo) was captured. Simply importing media using Quik for desktop does not alter or edit them. Are the files that you are importing from the external hard drive GoPro files? Are you not able to save these files even to your computer's hard drive?

As for the saturated look, you might want to explore editing apps such as VSDC for Windows or iMovie for Mac.  Feel free to post back for any other questions or concerns.

Thanks,
Marius

Re: Quik Import from Hard drive.

GoPro states that the issue has been solved. However I could'nt find the solution. I am having the same issue where Quick is NOT detecting my Go Pro 7 Videos that I have saved in my SSD Card

Re: Quik Import from Hard drive.

Hello @davidgdomex.  Do you connect the camera to the computer? Which SD card are you using? See how it goes when the SD card is inserted instead using an SD card adapter.

There are troubleshooting steps on the links below that will help get the media recognized by Quik:

Let us know how it goes. Thanks!
