Since I started this thing I have continued to go to their site figuring a company seeing this much of a problem with there software surely would have fixed it by now instead ogf relaying on its customers to come up with some bizare work around that may or may not work 100% of the time . I cant even get it to download from there site and have just used Windows Movie Maker . At least it works . There is something seriously wrong with a company who pays absolutley no attention to any of this . I would never reccomend there product especially since they dont react to weeks of this type of thing . Bad , really bad

Bottom line is it doesn't work consistently for many by the looks of these posts . My system has all the requirements they state to run it yet it won't even open and load. Oh yea only works with IPad IOS10 . Found that out after two weeks of back and forth along with many others .apparently they need to invest more or get a better bang for there buck on their developers . When I purchase something I expect it to work as advertised no better no worse . I can only use it on a phone to make movies . No thanks, there R and D is awful and they have a lot of bad posts out there with things not working . Glad it all works for you but there is 7 pages of posts here that it doesn't work for many They should read it and fix it . Look at other posts with very capable systems and they can't get it to work .
Not the computer it's the software .

This thread began in 2016 with many post from the same user or from people who don't have issues but are posting possible solutions. I spent the time to review all of the post on this thread. 27 unique post with 11 users reporting back that their problem had been resolved. These numbers alone show a 41% success rate of people visiting this post and coming to a solution. Unfortunately, most people do not take the time to report back once their issue is resolved. If this group is comprised of 10% of all users who posted an issue, then the success rate is about 51%. This results in about 14 possible people who encountered an issue with the software and weren't able to find a solution. This does not take into account people who found solutions by other means. Currently there are only 5 people actively involved in this discussion.

Pretty poor if you ask me . When the average person buys a camera to use with the software the comes with it . It should work right out of the box . Unless your marketing to one demographic that is super computer literate and cape able of finding work a rounds it should work . You have no idea if the other 51 % simply gave up and like me used the Windows Live Movie Maker which has worked since I have had it out of the box llike many other . The fact that 41% of the people had to go out here to find some solution to what should be a simple down load ( assuming you system checkes all the boxes which mine and others do ) would be unacceptable to most companies in other areas especially if the other 51% either gave up ( most likley ) or used other software .
was 200 bucks so no big deal , wouldn't recommend , won't buy any other products and will leave up to everyone else to make up there own minds . There is enough bad out there on social media as well to indicate they have issues . All set here , best of luck

Did you buy a camera that came with free software or did you buy software that came with a free camera? There is no other company providing free software that has the capability of the GoPro software. If you are going to use a camera, you should research on your own how to use the camera and the camera settings. If you are going to use a computer, you should learn how to use your computer.
There is a lot that goes into software development and trying to create a software that works on multiple platforms and multiple versions of those platforms is no easy task. Additionally, there are many software programs that can reside on a user's computer that compete for resources, block certain functions from running, or even that corrupt necessary files. On top of that, there are many different processors, motherboards, graphics cards, etc. Video editing software is one of the most, if not the most, tasking category of software to run on a computer. Many basic systems just can't produce the power or resources to handle even some of the most basic editing programs. However, there are other options. Nobody is locked into using GoPro software. The choice is yours. You can use GoPro's Free software, try other free software, or purchase a more robust program from a editing software company.
Have you contacted the GoPro support team? What did they say?

Last time will respond to this foolishness . While I am not an electrical engineer I certainly know how to use a computer . I bought go pro with the idea of being able to use it like my 10 year old JVC and assumed it would work with Windows Live Movie Maker which it did . However it is supposed to work better with this Qick which is supposed to be better and analyze the music with the film . I also expected it to work on an IPAD as there was no information that I found indentifying it did not work with IOS systems before purchase . Stop inferring it's user error ,it's lame as others have put it. Junk as I put it . there marketing makes it appear simple so therefore they are marketing to the average user . Again never had an issue with Windows , it worked as advertised .
yes i spent time on the phone with Tech Help and no it still would not load. No answers . As I said they also had no answers on the IPAD not loading the software either until about two weeks of thry this and try that someone finally asked for some information on my IPAD and then said you need IOS 10 . I checked and my software is up to date . Others on other threads have that issue as well , you should join in on that as well .
When you buy any product that states it has all these other great functions and works with and in conjunction with there software it should work period . It is no consumers intent to buy this camera without it working with editing software specifically theirs that they maintain is so great . You are either stock holder or no clue what real customer service and product reliability is worth .
no one should have to attend a GO Pro work shop to get there purchase to work. Like I said done with this and quite frankly you acceptance of medicrity . Fix it so it works normally or don't really don't care as I am using Windows . Oh yes I think I told you .
