Unfortunately, I went through all the steps listed by loyalcave84227 and I still cannot get the Quik screen to show up in Windows 10.
I know I have a more than capable laptop as I just upgrade this year and it has dual quad core processors, 32 GB of memory.
It's a top of the line Dell Precision laptop.
Quik will launch but now window displays - Task manager shows Quik as running as a background task, but I see no interface for it.
If I launch GoPro Studio first and get the dialog asking to launch Quik, I'll see a window pop up briefly, but then nothing and again Task Manager shows Quik running.
This is pretty lame and needs to be fixed by GoPro.

Thank you all for trying to help . It's nice to see some pretty computer literate smart people are having an issue with something the average buyer of this product should be able to get to work without all of this . I just got back from a ski trip and would like to be able to use the soft ware . Given rankings response I feel better that I am not a complete idiot . They need to fix this and don't seem to care if they are reading this . Thank you very much. Bob

Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to work for everyone. I've tried all the recommendations listed in this thread and still cannot get Quik to launch.
GoPro really just needs to fix this problem.
It's ridiculous that the lastest version of the app for the latest version of their camera will not run reliably on the most current operating systems.
