Quick won't launch

Hello,

 

I just installed Quick for desktop on windows 10.  After installation it asks if you want to launch after installation but it never does.  If I launch from the tray icon or the shortcut on the desktop it won't launch either.   I have tried reinstalling and rebooting but still it's not launching.

That's very strange. Are you logged on as the administrator? Can you go into safe mode and see if it launches? I'm not sure how this will work out as Quik will want to log you on. I'm also wondering if perhaps you have a firewall or antivirus/anti-malware preventing the program from opening. You might want to try pausing any other programs running.

Hello, I'm currently having the same problem. Weird for me was that I had it downloaded and was working fine a few days ago. I packed my PC and brought it back to my parents house to get evacuate from a storm, I get back to my house today, set up my pc and the app doesn't work on the desktop. I've tried re downloading as well as checking firewalls/anti virus programs and still seem to come up to the same outcome as davida500. On another note, GoPro Studios works and opens perfectly fine.

I have this problem too.  Everything was fine (the two icons were "GoPro" and "GoPro Studio."  Then "GoPro" wouldn't open, so I uninstalled and re-installed, and now it's "Quik" and "GoPro Studio."  "GoPro Studio" opens fine but "Quik" will not open.  There may have been a Windows update during the time that it quit working, so I uninstalled the latest Windows update but it still won't open.  I have an HP ENVY x360.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled lots of times.  I've tried everything on the support page and a few other forum pages.

Wow people, I think I figured it out.  Uninstall GoPro and install this old one:  GoPro StudioPC-2.5.7.549

Then let it update.

That didn't work for me.  I tried uninstalling everything, rebooting, and then reinstalling the older version but that wouldn't run either.  When I have my task manager open I can see the program there for a few seconds after I try to start it and then it disappears.

I just installed Quik on my laptop and had the same problem.. I found that even though I quit the app, Quik.exe still had a process running in the background.  I used the Task Manager to quit that process and the app started back up with no problems.

yep exactly the same problem for me, wont open and not even running in the background (not on task manager)

 

also the storyboard in studio is not working either yes my drivers are up to date (intel G41 Express Chipset)

 

absolutly sick of this whats the point of having them when they are useless at editing
